Make money understandable
Age-friendly stories and examples explain saving, spending, needs, wants, goals, and tradeoffs without unnecessary jargon.
✦ Our mission
Sid's Financial Literacy makes essential money skills understandable, practical, and encouraging—before young people face the pressures and consequences of adult financial decisions.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Children encounter money choices long before they open a bank account. They see advertising, shop online, receive gifts, compare wants with needs, and watch the adults around them make financial decisions.
Our mission is to meet that natural curiosity with clear information and meaningful practice. We want every student—regardless of background—to feel capable of asking questions, setting goals, and making thoughtful choices.
Created by young author and workshop leader Sathvik S. Alla, the program speaks with young people, not at them. Stories, conversation, and hands-on activities turn unfamiliar vocabulary into lessons they can use in everyday life.
OUR APPROACH
Age-friendly stories and examples explain saving, spending, needs, wants, goals, and tradeoffs without unnecessary jargon.
Interactive choices let students practice making a plan, pausing before spending, and connecting today's decisions with tomorrow's goals.
A welcoming environment encourages curiosity. Students learn that asking for help and seeking good information are signs of strength.
Small, repeatable actions show young people that financial confidence grows over time—and that they can begin right now.
THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE
Confident decision-makers who can pause, compare options, and explain their choices.
Purposeful savers who know how goals and small steps work together.
Thoughtful spenders who can separate needs from wants and recognize tradeoffs.
Curious lifelong learners who are comfortable asking questions about money.
WHO WE SERVE
Workshops are designed to be flexible, energetic, and welcoming for young learners in the places where they already gather and grow.
